- Women had a lot more of a harder time than men because they had to run the home, cook meals and raise children. Women were also treated unequally because they could not vote or hold public office.
- Marriages were arranged for the girls at age 14 by the family.
- There was a lot of agriculture. Most people made their money from farming, and only a few people lived in the towns.
- The Patricians were the richest class in Rome.
