- ever wondered why giraffes have such long necks? Well its obviously because they need to eat fruit high up on trees but what if i told you they didnt always have such long necks.
- along time ago giraffes didnt have such long necks and couldnt eat the fruit in the tall trees which is where natural selection came along. which is whereby organisms better adapted to their environment tend to survive and produce more offspring
- Then over time they developed longer necks better adapted to their enviorment. And produced more offspirng with these longer necks.
- So theoretically i could develop a longer neck to eat fruit off trees?
- No tom i dont think thats how it works at all but you can at least give it a shot.
- But that proves that natural selection is indeed a law of science. But i do wonder could humans develop longer necks?
