- A dark January night. Halku lay on a bamboo cot wrapped up in his old shawl, shivering
- Woof! Woof! , Jabra said slowly
- Dint I tell u to stay in the house, don't come with me from tomorrow or the cold will get u too
- Jabra, cold?
- The cold weather continued to torment jabra. When he no longer could bear it he picked jabra hugging him very tight
- Halku felt really happy and in his innocent heart there was no resentment of the smell that came from jabra
- I feel like I am in heaven.
- Suddenly Jabra heard a voice and ran out of the shelter barking
- WOOF!WOOF!WOOF!
- Halku tried calling jabra but he went on barking
- Jabra!Jabra!
- Halku set his fire, in a little while the fire was burning branches
- After an hour when halku no longer could bear it he thought.....
- Well Jabra you are not cold anymore, are you?
- I cant stand here anymore, Jabra. Come along, lets go into the orchard and gather leaves to warm up with.
- 'Maybe I can make a fire out of a pile of leaves and keep myself warm
- the leaves were all burned up again but the fire had warmed him, but as the cold began he felt drowsy.
- Suddenly Jabra started barking running towards the field. Halku heard the voice of nibbling coming from the farm
- He thought no animal would come near the field in the presence of Jabra and he dint get up.
- Halku tried getting up but his drowsiness held him motionless. Wrapped up near his shawl he fell asleep on the warm ground.
- Just when the crop was ready these cursed animals were eating it, said Halku
