- Boys will be the first to defend then the girls. After that arguments will presume.
- Yesterday, I have grouped you according to your gender. And I know you are wondering why... We are going to have a group debate now.
- Our debate is all about Who has a greater contribution to the development of electromagnetic wave theory: Hertz or Faraday?

- German physicist Heinrich Hertz discovered radio waves, a milestone widely seen as confirmation of James Clerk Maxwell's electromagnetic theory and which paved the way for numerous advances in communication technology.
- He is Danish physicist and chemist who discovered that the electric current in a wire can deflect a magnetized compass needle, a phenomenon the importance of which was rapidly recognized and which inspired the development of electromagnetic theory.
- Electromagnetic technology began with Faraday's discovery of induction in 1831. His demonstration that a changing magnetic field induces an electric current in a nearby circuit showed that mechanical energy can be converted to electric energy.
