- Since the new world needed more land the US asked for land and France sold Louisiana to the US for 15 million. But when the US bought Louisiana they didn't know where it ended. People everywhere were moving and living in the new land, then Spain started to get mad because they didn't want to give the US anyland after several years Spain and the US made an agreement to share the land and spain gave them Florida and the Sabine river.

- Father Miquel Hidalgo was a priest from Dolores and he wanted New Spain to treat everyone equally. September 16, 1810 he issued his "Grito de Dolores," or "Cry of Dolores." All the lower class joined Miquel in the revolt.Criollos refused to support the revolt soon they defeated Hidalgo's forces. Before Hidalgo arrived at the Rio Grande, one of his officers betrayed him and the Spaniards shot and killed him.Hidalgo's revolt led to other uprisings in Northern New Spain.
