  • The continental congress was held in carpenters hall in philadelphia. The 13 colonies went to discuss the  series of measures by the british government.
  • The battle of lexington and concord was on april 19 1775 and lasted until 1783. It started because of tension between  the british and the 13 colonies.
  • The second continental congress was a convention of delegates from the Thirteen Colonies that started meeting in the spring of 1775 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It succeeded the First continental congress which met in Philadelphia.
  • On June 17, 1775, early in the Revolutionary War (1775-83), the British defeated the Americans at the Battle of Bunker Hill in Massachusetts. Despite their loss, the inexperienced colonial forces inflicted significant casualties against the enemy, and the battle provided them with an important confidence boost. 
  • The battle of fort duquesne was a british assault on the french during the French and Indian war
  • The New York and New Jersey campaign was a series of battles in 1776 and the winter months of 1777 for control of New York City and the state of New Jersey
