Storyboard Text

  • On the night of March 5, 1770, there was a colonist and soldier arguing on the street. Then, the night took a turn for the worst when the soldier used the back of the gun to hit the colonist on the nose.
  • Smack!
  • When the colonist got hit by the back of a gun, a crowd of colonists then came to defend the colonist. After, the soldier called to help to the other soldiers. Then, the colonists were calling out to the soldiers to shoot at them and the soldiers thought they hearing this from the chief and fired into the crowd. The colonists used snowballs and rocks to defend themselves. As a result, Crispus Attucks and four other colonists died from the event.
  • During the trial, John Adams defended the British in court for the event. What the judge decided to do was to punish two out of eight of the soldiers go into jail due to how two of the soldiers were claimed as commiting manslaughter while the remaining soldiers were claimed as using self-defense.
