- Amilia Earhart was born on July 24, 1897
- When Amilia saw an airplane for the first time she was 12 years old. Planes were rare to see back then
- She started flying lessons in 1920, and soon after bought her own airplane
- She made a new record for women. She was the first woman to reach an altitude of 14,000 feet in the air.
- In 1937 she competed in the flight around the world.
- While doing the flight around the world she crashed into the ocean near an island. She was never found
