- One day in school, some Grade 7 students were learning about acids and bases.
- Oh no! My stomach is being destroyed due to acids’ corrosive nature.
- All of the sudden, my stomach is hurting
- Our stomach contains acids like HCl.
- Acids are sour and can be found everywhere. Salad dressings, rainwater, car batteries, soft drinks and of course, our very own stomach. They can burn, corrode, digest or add a pleasant tang to food and drink...
- In another classroom in the same school...

- BASIC??? In NO way is the human blood basic! There is RBCs, WBCs, Oxyhaemoglobin and whatever other wackadoodle nonsense!!!!
- Therefore, human blood is basic.
- Bases are bitter and slippery. They may be less familiar but they can be found as commonly as acids. You can see them in soaps, cleaners, detergents and of course, blood!!!
