- Our Freedom Unit
- Amendments: 1 – Freedom, 2 – Arms/ Guns, 3 – Quarter, 4 – Search 5 – Process, 6 – Fair, 7 – Jury, 8 – Punishment, 9 – Give Rights, 10 – Not here? Ask the states
- Mrs. Knicely tells us what topics we will be going over during the school year and she also told us we will have no exams!
- Our Leadership Unit
- You will be picking different leaders from America including athletes, celebrities and record breakers, and competing against other groups debating to see which one of your leaders is the best. You are going until there is one leader left
- At the beginning of each class, we review the current events, they could be about politics, news, and sports. Once we say our news she follows up on it and explains a better more descriptive explanation of our news.
- Our Economy Unit
- You will choose three stocks. Two you think are going to succeed and one you think will fail. We will come back after Spring break and see who made the most money
- During the beginning of our school year, we learned about freedom, including presidents, the amendments, and the founding fathers.
- Our Equity Unit
- During the 2nd quarter of our school year, we learned about leadership, including learning how different presidents leaded their country. We also did a debate type thing where we face off against other leaders to see who we thought was the best
- Before Spring break, we looked at different stocks and then after spring break we looked at the same stocks to see who had earned the most money. We chose two stocks based on who we thought was going to succeed, and we chose one gamble stock.
- In our equity unit, we did our "I Have A Dream" projects which was a video, any time limit, stating what you have a dream for.
