Top level Managers set goals & plan for the future. Examples of a Top Level Manager are : C e o, Vice president's , & president's . They usually consist of a small group of people or even one person . The goals they set are .. how much money they may wanna make .. things in that nature, goals for the company. A goal is they may want 300 lipglosses sold in the company. . & they want to make sure they reach that goal.

Middle line managers carry out the decisions of top level management. They are responsible for Planning and controlling a operation. so for example someone didn't do their job or activity , they can report it to the higher line of management .They are making sure their company's goals are met & if not their are consequences.. like loosing your job or position.
First Line Manager
This manager directs the day to day activities , of operational employees. ( supervisors, team leaders , coaches & unit coordinators) those are some examples. They operate their departments , assign tasks . manage work flow , monitor the work quality , deal with employee problems & keep the middle managers & executive managers informed of problems & successes at the ground level in the company.
