Juliet wakes up and finds Romeo dead. Friar Lawrence tells her to run, but she stays behind. In this version, Juliet does not stab herself with Romeo's dagger.
How is it possible!? She was dead this morning!
The guards are shocked to find Juliet alive.
You're in big trouble!
Their surprise turns to anger when they realize Juliet has tricked them. They tell her she will be returned to her parents immediately.
Please! You don't understand!
Fearful of her parents' wrath, Juliet pleads to be let go. The guards don't listen and attempt to drag her away.
In the midst of the squabble, Juliet manages to grab a torch from one of the guards and runs back to Verona. In a moment of desperation, she will do the unthinkable.
I love you, Romeo.
Capulet
Juliet reaches her house and drops the torch, letting the town catch fire. She proclaims her love one final time before perishing. Everyone dies.
