- Even though they make the girls sell themselves, they still take care of them by giving them food, shelter, and condoms.
- After a while of being locked in a room, they give Lakshmi a new place to sleep, sharing a room with the rest of the girls. She finds a whole in the bed cushion and hides some things that she is going to use to escape with.
- A white man finds Lakshmi and giver her a card with information of a "Hope House" where she can be taken care of and not be sold as a prostitute.
- The people in charge took all the girls to get a checkup to make sure that they didn't have any diseases.
- The police find them and they hide the girls in this whole in the wall.
- When Lakshmi escapes, she finds this home for people that need help and get them back up on their feet. Since then, Lakshmi has been happy and out of that house.
