- Martin is an example of the Lover because he doesn't necessarily want to be romantically involved with Debbie, but he wanted to save her and bring her back safely. He fought Ethan so that he wouldn't kill her and spent years and years of his life searching for her.
- Family Over Anything
- Scar is an example of the magician because he is the chief of his tribe. He has many wives and is the wealthiest of his tribe. Everyone listens and follows him and other tribes and places are scared of him.
- White Settlers VS Indians
- Ethan is an example of The Outlaw because he doesn't really care about the law as long as he gets what he wants. He killed some people and fought even more. He trespassed and did anything to get to Debbie.
- Law and Order VS the Outlaw
- They spent years and years of their lives and messed up relationships with other people to find a missing member of their family.
- This is shown during the entire film because the Indians attack them and take one of their children and kill the rest. This started years and years of fighting and trying to get back the sister.
- Well Ethan is the outlaw and during the whole movie, he kind of does what he wants and doesn't think about the law. He killed people so the law was after him and tried to arrest him.
