This is surely the body of Pamela Reeves. And these two murders are necessarily linked.
A charred car was found. And an unrecognizable body is there.
A dancer Josie Turner from the Majestic Hotel recognizes the girl as her cousin, Ruby Keene who was also a dancer at the same hotel. Miss Marple and Miss Bantry go to the Majestic and discover Ruby was close to the Jefferson family and in particular his patriarch Conway Jefferson who was going to adopt her. People at the hotel learn that a charred car has been found. The body is identified as that of Pamela Reeves. The two murders are necessarily linked. It is learned that Pamela Reeves was to meet a man from the film studios and that she did not return home that evening.
