  • This is an example  of newtons first law of motion: An object in motion stays in motion until an unbalanced force acts upon it.
  • Sasha and Michael  are playing  outside will a ball.  When Sasha kicks the ball, it keeps rolling until Michael stops it with his foot.
  • Grace just moved into a new house and is pushing moving boxes into her new dining room. The small box on the left side is light will only 3 items, the box on the right is heavy with 5 items. According to Newtons 2nd law of motion,  Grace will have to push the right box with more force because force = mass x acceleration.
  • Chris is a boxer at his local gym. He has been training on a punching bag for weeks, and has been noticing that every time he punches the punching bag it feels as if the bag punches back! So he went home and found out that Newton's 3rd law of motion explains that every action has an equal or opposite reaction. Why'll boxing, he feels the reaction as a push back from the bag.
