Storyboard Text

  • This scene occurred on page 4-5 in The Outsiders. Ponyboy (left) is scared after being approached by 5 Socs. The Socs give Pony a bruise and then see Darry and Sodapop approaching from behind.
  • This scene occurred on page 33. The four Socs come out and beat up Johnny(laying on the ground in pain). Bob (right) uses his rings and beats Johnny up badly. The Socs get in the car and run away. This scene has violence because it involves fighting.
  • On page 50, when Ponyboy comes home Darry questions him and asks him where he was. Darry gets really mad and slaps Ponyboy. Upset, Ponyboy runs away.
  • On page 56 there is a small fight between Johnny, Dally, and the Socs. A Soc was drowning Ponyboy in the fountain. Because of this Johnny kills Bob and the Socs run away. This scene involves violence because it shows how Johnny commited a murder.
  • On Chapter 9 the Rumble begins. The rumble is the BIG FIGHT between the Socs and the Greasers. This scene involves a big fight which fits the violence theme. Johnny gets injured at the end of the Rumble.
  • On page 154 Dally is really mad that Johnny died. He robs a store and the cops are trying to chase him down. Dally raises a gun without any bullets and the police officer shoots him thinking that the gun has no bullets. This scene included violence because the police officer shoots Dally.
