Storyboard Text

  • The only thing that I thought was similar between the two was the way they described the eyes and the heart.
  • Imagery
  • The short story had a lot more imagery and descriptive words than the play did
  • They both described the eye as a vultures eye with a white film over it. And they both described the heart as hideous
  • Both versions had internal dialogue. The short story more than the play.
  • One major difference was the ravens that spoke in the play
  • Dialogue
  • The one set of dialogue that the short story and the play had in common was when the narrator spoke to the police group
  • So here's the tea... The play obviously had much more dialogue than the short story because it is a play.
  • Some could argue, though, that this makes the play much more grimm because of them making fun of a story that was suposed to be creepy
  • The play and the story had similar imagery that still made it a story and play with a horror mood just less scary in our opinion
  • Mood
  • The mood of the play is much more light-hearted than the short story
