- Communication is a big part of our everyday lives. Not being able to express what you need, want or evenfeel can be a battle everyday.
- Without the development of AAC devices, those who struggle with their words would never feel as if they had their own voice in the world.
- People like the boy in this scene who cannot communicate verbally can get easily frustrated and that makes it even harder for them to communicate.
- We will both have the salad!
- I Know what I want to eat but I can't communicate it. This is so frustrating!
- In this type of situation and AAC device would be beneficial to the boy and it would make their time much more pleasant for both people.
- AAC devices can not only help the person trying to communicate but also help those around them. Some people may underestimate their abilities based off of their lack of communication.
- Being able to communicate your own wants and needs is a sense of control. Having the control of your life and being able make your own choices is super important.
- The creation of AAC devices was a huge step for those with sever disabilities and they continue to expand and grow.
