  • BOO!
  • Hi everyone, my name is Maggie! Today, I wanted to share my superstitions with you!
  • "WOAH MAN WHAT WAS THAT?!"
  • Can I sleep in your room tonight please mom!!
  • Did they fake this one?
  • If you have your feet on the ground when we go over the tracks, you'll be cursed forever!
  • Do you guys want some food, I'm sorry if you can't eat anything!
  • Maggie, who are you talking to?
  • Oh man, I can't do the laundry today, I'll have to wait a few days!
  • I'm so tired, I'm gonna go to bed!
  • Boo?
  • BOO
  • Thank you so much for reading about my superstitions! If you would like, tweet your own with me in the replies!
  • I hope you enjoy learning about the things I have believed in throughout my life!
  • When I was little, I used to watch ghost shows with my mom, and while she didn't always believe them, I definitely did. I got scared a lot and grew a big fear of the dark and what could be in it!
  • My older brother didn't believe in anything like I did, so he used to pull pranks on me, which only made me more superstitious! Some things I still do today, like picking my feet up when going over railroad tracks! One really mean prank he did when I was little, was when he told me that if I breath near a graveyard, the ghosts would haunt me!
  • I have never been one for superstitions like crossing a black cat or breaking a mirror, but I grew up fearing accidentally disrespecting the dead. I would try to talk to them to try and reason with them, offer them food, and apologize to them.
  • If I wanted something to come true, or keep something from happening, I used to knock on wood. Any wood I could find -even a pencil- would suffice. Small things like that, or throwing salt over your shoulder, made me feel safer.
  • The older I have gotten, the less superstitious I have become. I no longer fear ghosts and demons (though I still have the habit of respecting them). Most of my superstitious habits are now about general luck, like not washing your laundry on the first day of the new year.
  • Sometimes I still have that feeling in the back of my mind that there may be a ghost in the room, but I longer get afraid of it, instead I brush off that feeling and move along!
  • Overall, there are things I still believe in, but I don't let them run my life anymore! If you feel overwhelmed or anxious about your own superstitions, just remember to take a deep breath, and try to find the logic within the real world!
