- the next place to visit on our list is Rome. rome was a place of many discoveries and innovations. and because of these things rome became a very prolonged and lasting city. but it also did smaller things too, like reducing the amount of manpower used and replacing it with technology or the use of candles. these things helped Rome society function more easily.
- now for the belief system of Rome. unlike the medieval time period, rome had more of a polytheistic belief system. in which they believed that the gods controlled their lives and, as a result they spent a lot of their time worshipping them.
- The mild climate enabled Romans to grow wheat, grapes, and olives which allowed Rome to prosper. also the climate made year long agriculture possible, Rome was near water, and with the help of the aqueducts Rome was able to stay clean and fed.
- Some of Rome's biggest factors that caused conflicts were their economic troubles, corrupt government and the invasions from other civilizations. so first the economic troubles of rome caused a lot of hardships for the people. but to add to that the corruptness of the government caused many assassinations and revolts against the governments, which meant there was no one really in power for that long. and then the invasions among the other conflicts led to the fall of Rome
- Rome was a great city that was ran with the help of farming, ,agriculture, trade, standardized currency and economic development. these things were major when it came to providing resources and generating wealth over time.
- The Roman Empire used a representative democracy where on the wealthy really held power. and because of that Rome's democracy fell because of internal turmoil
