- Jackie Robinson makes his first appearance in Major League Baseball on April 15, 1947. He was the very first black person to play Major League Baseball.
- Let's go!
- Jackie was racially abused by fans, opponents, and even teammates just because he is black. This abuse happened continuously throughout his career.

- Jackie finished off his career with many amazing achievements. Including, Broke the color barrier in major league baseball in 1947 by becoming the first African-American player. Named National League Rookie of the Year in 1947. Led the National League in stolen bases in 1947 and 1949. Led second basemen in double plays 1949, 1950, 1951 and 1952.
- Jackie was also the first black player to ever get inducted into the baseball hall of fame and is the only player in MLB history to have his jersey (number 42) retired by every single team in the league.
- It is safe to say Jackie Robinson will be well remembered by everyone for his bravery and strength to overcome the racial abuse, and his unbelievable talent which took him far in his career. He reached limits which no one at the time thought was possible. Jackie Robinson is simply a legend.
