- Nick went to NY to sell bonds. He is from the midwest and originates from a rich family. He graduated at Yale and has come back from WWI.
- Part 4
- Nick clarifies the distinctions of East Egg and West Egg. West Egg will in general is the spot of rich who worked for their cash. East Egg, over the water, in general be the spot of rich who acquire their fortune.
- Part 5
- Nick goes to East Side where his cousin, Daisy, and her husband, Tom Buchanan, live. Daisy realizes that Tom has another woman. Nick is told this data by Jordan, the Bucanan's other house visitor.
- Since Jordan mentions to his name, Nick understands that his well off neighbour is named Gatsby. He slowly gets disturbed with the discussion. He is dumfounded on why Daisy endures Tom treatment of her. He believes that the entire family is arrogant.
- Nick gets back and sits in his yard to appreciate the view. He understands he isn't the only one when he sees Gatsby's shadow in the garden. He's going to shout to Gatsby until he sees Gatsby stretch his arm out over the dim water towards a green light that more likely than not been on a dock over the water.
