Life of the Buddha
Storyboard Text
- Siddhartha was born in 563 BC, his mother died when he was very little.
- Siddhartha's father wanted him to be a king, not a holy man. Because of this, he forced him to stay inside the palace walls and only met people who were wealthy and in good health.
- When Siddhartha's father was convinced he would one day be king, he let Siddhartha travel past the walls and when Siddhartha was riding his bike he saw an old, wrinkled man. He realized the world was full of misery for a lot of people so Siddhartha decided he wanted to find his own inner peace, in doing so, he left everyone and everything he loved.
- Siddhartha went to the forest and sat in a cross-legged position and meditated for 6 years. Siddhartha achieved enlightenment meaning he had a deep understanding of life.
- I would like to teach others about his life and his teachings!
