- The Story Of Ceyx And Alcyone
- The story starts of with Ceyx, king of Thessaly and son of Lucifer, and his wife Alcyone who were deeply in love.
- Alcyone, I must leave you and take a long journey across the sea
- I have seen the broken planks tossed up, oh do not go, at least take me with you.
- Farewell my love
- That very night, a fierce storm broke over the sea. All the men were baffled minus Ceyx, he thought only of Alcyone and rejoiced she was in safety as the water closed over him.
- Alcyone please be safe.
- I am dead Alcyone, your name was on my lips when I died.
- The God of sleep stood by Alcyones bed and entered her dream as he gave her the truth
- Poor wife, look, your husband is here.
- After Alcyone found out her husband died she ran to the shore the next morning, she noticed her husband floating in the water
- As she ran into the waves to get Ceyx, her body changed into feathers and she grew wings, the Gods changed Alycone and Ceyx into birds and their finally together once and for all.
