During the launching stage, the parents and rest of the family members get ready to readjust the organization of the homes as the eldest child leaves the house [to pursue an education]
During this stage, the couple is not classified as "empty nesters". Both their children have left the home and they regain focus on their personal relationship with one another. They have more leisure time to indulge in new hobbies such as travelling.
