Regina is on a train leaving Ottawa to visit her grandparents in Toronto. She waves goodbye to her parents and thinks about how they refer to her complexion as light as a deer and her personality is sweet like candy. The train takes off making a whistling sound like it's singing.
Her teddy bear Coco sits next to her. Then an old pale lady pushes Regina's teddy bear to the floor making a thud. Then the lady says "I'm Ms. Riverson" and Regina says "I'm Regina".
Ms.Riverson then asked Regina where she was born and where she comes from. Regina said "I'm from here, Ottawa" not knowing what Ms. Riverson meant. Then all of a sudden Ms.Riverson said back "in my day we didn't have anyone that looked like you".
Ms. Riverson continues to say "I think it's just wrong". Regina then got confused and she said "what do you mean people like me?". Ms.Riverson says "you know your colour".
Regina says "I am born here and so were my parents". "I mean your parent's background. Where do their parents come from to make you that colour" says Ms. Riverson.
