  • Exposition
  • It's almost 5, I wonder when my husband is going to come home.
  • Conflict
  • There it is. I know it is a tough time but there wasn't any other way. I will give you money and make sure you are to be taken care of.
  • Rising Action
  • I don't want it. I am going to leave!
  • I can easily fix you something for supper. There is plenty of meat in the freezer. We can have lamb for supper in the living room.
  • It was almost 5 pm and Mary was calmly waiting for the return of her husband Patrick, from work.
  • Climax
  • After Patrick's second drink when he arrives home, Mary starred in puzzled horror as Patrick told her the news that he is going to leave.
  • Falling Action
  • The murderer might have hidden the weapon or thrown it away. Once we find the weapon we have the murderer. 
  • Mrs. Maloney, Did you know that your oven is still on and the meat is still inside.
  • Mary was in shock and she decided to pretend that everything was normal and insisted on making lamb for supper and taking it to Patrick.
  • Resolution
  • Whoever killed Patrick could not carry that big weapon around.
  • I think the weapon is in the house and right under our noses.
  • The crash of Patrick's body on the carpet left Mary feeling cold and suprised as she stared at his body covered in blood.
  • I have killed him.
  • Detective Jack Noonan was extremely gentle with Mary as he and his team searched for the murder weapon.
  • Mary quietly laughed to herself as she overheard the detective's conversation about the murder weapon.
