- The second attempt on the archduke's life was successful and started the war.
- Both countries involved had alliances bringing in countries from all over Europe.
- Trench warfare was very dangerous and difficult for the soldiers.
- The Germans sinking the Lusitania was a huge turning point in the war because it brought the U.S. into the war saving the Allies from Russia leaving.
- The Treaty of Versailles was made on June 28, 1919 officially ending the war and putting severe penalties on Germany.
