- Bill #117: Covid-19 Hate Crimes Act has been introduced to the senate! This bill requires a designated officer or employee of the Department of Justice (DOJ) to facilitate the expedited review of hate crimes and reports of hate crimes.
- First:The Bill has to be introduced into one of the 2 branches of congress.
- Second: A committee has to meet and collect data for the bill.
- Well, this bill seems very important, we should get it passed.
- All in favor say "aye!"
- Third: The bill is voted on on the floor of that branch of congress
- Fourth: The process is repeated in the other branch.
- We've finally got something that everyone agrees on.
- Fifth: Joint committee has to meet and resolve each branches issues with the bill.
