But then in 1830 when Andrew Jackson was President, the government signed the Indian Removal Act Policy, allowing for the government to relocate the Native Americans by force. Some complied but others didn't.

When the Europeans arrived, they offered a safe place for the Native Americans to relocate to. Some took their offer and moved near the Arkansas river between 1810 and 1819. Some refused and were left for a while. They also introduced many diseases which were not good for the Natives.

Massive damage occurred during the westward expansion of the Europeans. Thousands of natives died, their population halved! Just during the European introduction. They introduced ferocious diseases and nearly made the buffalo extinct. Irreparable damage was caused and it changed the Natives lives forever. Although thankfully the buffalo population is climbing again and so is the Native American population. The population had a 85% increase from 2010 to 2020.
