Then Poseidon seen the desperate state of the Greeks, and put fresh heart into them and urged them to stay firm in war. ¨Then Zeus, having brought then Trojans into the heart of the Greek camp, left the desperate battle...¨¨But blue-haired Poseidon, lord of the oceans and the earthquake, was looking that way and saw the desperate state of the Greeks.¨¨There he left them, and went up unseen among the hard-pressed warriors, putting fresh heart into them and urging them to stand firm.
Hector needed help as he was vomiting black blood, laying beside the river Xanthus. Apollo breathed fresh light into him and battle power such as he never known before. Hector rose and called for his armor and turned back to the battle. The Greeks saw Hector coming and got a fear of him such as they have never known before. ¨... he saw Hector comitting black blood as he lay beside the ford of the river Xanthus...¨¨ Apollo went swopping down with the speed of a hawk out of the eye of the sun.¨
