  • Welcome everyone. We will be starting our first plan to improve foods in China. This plan is called the "Great Leap Forward".
  • Long Live Mao Zedong!
  • Yan Wen is an eight in the 1945 when Mao Zedong takes over. When Yan's mom asks Yan's Friends, Tao and Ping are definitely sure that Mao is going to be a great leader because he is the first leader they've ever known.
  • I am so upset! She's on my best friends.
  • Of course! He is the first powerful leader we have ever known. He is a real legend.
  • I love you so much Tao, rest in peace! I don't think it's 'Mao's fault though.
  • Next day, in school they were reading a book of Mao's thoughts and beliefs and were repeating it in class. Yan, Tao, and Ping were really engaged by the book and thought Mao was the most powerful perosn in the world.
  • Welcome all. You all are the future. We are trying to get rid of the four olds and make China more modern. You are now my red guards. LET"S DESTROY THE OLDS!

  • When Yan and her friends knew that Mao is having a speech to discuss a plan to improve China, without thinking they were the forst people to go. There were crowds of both kids and adults, and a lot of people were cheering.
  • 5 years later, clearly the plan failed. Nothing improved at all, but more people started to die fo famine. Sadly, Tao passed away of famine too.
  • It is Mao's fault, but they just don't get. Well, all kids their age will never get it. They are worshiping him like a god. 
  • Mao made another speech, but this time was different. This time only kids and teenagers were there. They were cheering for him and all holding Mao's book.
