- When Mexico discovered that the Texans in Gonzales had an active cannon, they immediately went to Gonzales to retrieve the cannon. The Texans refused to yield and fired on General Cos.

- Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. Your armies must return to Mexico now
- After the Battle of Goliad, Santa Anna demanded that all of the Texan prisoners be publicly executed.
- As Santa Anna and his armies swarmed through Texas, all the Anglo-Americans in their path gathered what little belongings they had and fled for their lives, back to America.
- Texans and Mexicans are both trapped in marshlands after the Texans burnt the only escape route. After a quick 18 minute battle which caught Mexican soldiers by surprise, Texas had captured the majority of their army. A few days later Santa Anna was found and the Treaty of Valesco was signed by him And General Sam Houston.
