- The French and English were huge rivals and this was very important and crucial land, but both factions wanted it.
- The Fall of France's Colonial Capital, 1759
- The British needed native allies and found a powerful tribe called the Iroquois. They met in Albany to discusses their alliance.

- The French and Indian War was going France's way until William Pitt becomes the new British Prime Minster.
- New British Policies, 1763
- After William Pitt became Prime Minister, Britain started to win a lot of battles and one day there was an under guarded road that led to Quebec capital and the British overwhelmed the French guards.

- This was the treaty that gave Britain Canada and to pull all French forces from North America back to France.
- After the war Britain had a lot of new policies including the Proclamation of 1763. This policy helped defuse the situation between the Ottawa tribe. Another thing that happen is that England went into debt and therefore England started to tax the colonies without their consent.
