- Pain, regret, fear, Johnny feels that turning himself in would be the best thing to do. He thinks that it isn't fair to Pony to have to pay for his mistakes. Johnny thinks he'll get easy because this is his first time committing a crime. "Were turning ourselves in." Johnny said while eating that sandwich in one bite.

- Johnny knows his parents don't love him he just thinks that whenever ht does something they get worried. Johnny just wants to be loved unfortunately all he gets is pain and bruises. Johnny wants to be loved but he can't see that he already is by the gang. Blindsided, hopeful, abused, those were all words that could be used to describe Johnny but the best word is loved.
- Blast it Johnny. They don't care about you just like my parent.
- I know but are they worried.
- Dally are my parents worried about me.
- Dally Was talking to Johnny in a way where no one had ever heard him before. He would brag about jail now he was telling Johnny how bad it was. Dally was concered about Johnny as was scared of losing Johnny. Dally was sincere when it meant losing a member of the gang.

- The Church was on fire, Pony and Johnny felt responsible. They saved many kids that were trapped in the church. Some of the kids were greatful to be saved. But one tow-headed kids bit me making me angry like a squirrel who lost his nuts.

- Joe was telling Pony how he was a hero and he kelled over because his back was on fire and the hard hit he took didn't help. Pony was telling Jerry How back in Tulsa he is a hood or a Greaser who is hated by many people. Jerry has a hard time believing him and disagrees with him.
- We're in an ambulance and your friends are in the one behind us.
- Where am I is Johnny ok where's Dally.
- Pony is reunited with his Darry doesn't like to talk about his feelings. Pony can be as blind as a bat sometimes. Pony can be blinded by all the hate he can't see the love. Family sticks together and needs to know that to be happy.
