- We women want to be treated differently so we're about to start taking iniciative.
- You girls sure do look different now a days'.
- The police really believed I was too innocent to smoke or break the law!
- Flappers were women who challenged the economic, political, and sexual views about women's freedom.
- Our favorite dance will always be the shimmey.
- They cut their hair and wore short dresses, they even stopped wearing their corsets.
- I can't wait to get my first car this month!
- They smoked and drank even when alcohol was outlawed in the U.S.
- My mum finally cut her hair and stopped wearing her corset.
- Flapper's passtime was spent dancing. Dances such as the Charleston. Black Bottom, and the shimmey were considered "wild" by the older generation.
- Cars were fast and riskey, perfect for the flapper attitude. Flappers not only insisted on riding in them, they drove them.
- Multiple women went a less extreme route with cutting their hair and not wearing their corsets.
