John Cabot. An impact on the world
John Cabot was from Gaeta, Italy, and was commissioned by the England king.
Yes! We found land! Brand new found land.
John Cabot went to North America. He also sailed from Bristol to Canada, which he mistakend for Asia.
This fishing colony is so fun!
John Cabot's discoveries under the english crown dramatically helped England to their first colonies in the new world. Canada and North America were Europeanized befor other parts of the new world. In his honor, there was a statue erected in Port Bristol of Cabot, where he is holding a map in his hand, and looking out to the sea.
John Cabot discovered new land on one of his voyage's, he discovered a place now called Newfoundland. Witch if you look closely, it is saying new found land.
John Cabot did not effect the people of newfoundland, but he did effect the England people. He established the first overseas colony that became the first fishing settlement for the people of england, which was before the first thirteen colonies. This began the whole british empire overseas.
Although John Cabot found land, he did not accomplish what he was out to achieve because he and four ships were predicted lost at sea and were never seen again. Only one boat came back safely, but damaged from the storm. We still do not know where Cabot, hundreds of other people, and four boats are to this day.
