- They're going to hurt me and steal everything
- People with money were scared that poor people of color would do something to them
- White people rounded up all people of color on a ship, and sailed across the sea. They were taken to a place for labor.

- We deserve so much better. This is not right.
- Anyone considered a slave was not allowed to own a gun

- Any child born to a slave was also a slave
- Slaves worked on plantations for free labor
