- Feed the hungry is the act of giving food to the poor. How we practice this is by going out on the streets with food, and looking for someone who needs it more than we do. Why we practice this is so we can follow Jesus' footsteps, and be better people. Who we are supporting by doing this is the homeless and poor people.Pray for the living and the dead is the act of going to a cemetery to pray, or visiting someone who is living, but sick or injured. How we practice this is by going to a memorial or cemetery, and praying for people who have died. We can also do this by going to a hospital or nursing home, and visiting someone who is sick or injured. Why we do this is to follow Jesus' footsteps, and be better people.
