- Nothing bad ever happened in Sathton. It had always been a safe place for Harris Nielson, her sister and her father to live in. The town was always rich and alive with people, until one day.
- A deadly virus washed over the town unexpectedly. Nobody was prepared apart from the Nielsons. Harris’ father, Gray, sent her and Micheala her older sister away with only a map, food and water.
- Where's the map?!
- All the girls knew was that there was something waiting for them in El Suba, a poor, but generous town. They had no choice, but to go on their way into the expelled forest to try and find safety.
- Do you know where to go?
- The forest was normal at day time, but during night everything went super weird. The animals all turned into strange, wild creatures. Some bad and some good so they had to be extra cautious.
- One very long night when the girls were asleep under an acorn tree, their map disappeared. They had no idea which direction to go. They were lost and panicked.
- What kind of resembled a deer waddled up to them. Harris was unsure how to interact with this creature. Micheala had no fear and approached the deer asking for directions.
