  • We should tax the colonies! We are in huge debt!
  • King George lost the French and Indian war. The outcome was that King George was in huge debt.
  • The king is going to tax us! What did we do?
  • Noooooooooo!
  • Calm down. We'll be fine.
  • Everyone disliked the taxes. The Sugar Act was created in 1764. The Stamp Act was created in 1765. The Sugar Act led to disagreement, revolt, dissatisfaction, and a boycott for British items. Colonist made their own goods instead of buying them from England. During the Stamp Act, the famous movement "No Taxation without Representation" was established. The Colonist tarred and feathered the tax collectors.
