Icarus and Deadalus

- Daedalus was a famous architect, inventor and craftsman. He has a son named Icarus. They live in Athens
- At the island of Crete, which were Knossos located, Daedalus built the labyrinth for King Minos to imprison the minotaur. King Minos learned that Daedalus help Theseus to kill his pet. So he imprison Daedalus And Icarus to the labyrith
- Daedalus thought of a plan. He would make wings for him and for Icarus. The wings are made by wax and bird feathers.
- They begin to fly. Daedalus warned Icarus to saty away from the sun because his wings will get melted. And don't come near to the sea because it will dampen his wings.
- Because of Icarus' excitement, he goes near to the sun. His wings got melted. He fell to the sea and died. Daedalus named the sea, Icarian sea.
- He hangs up his wings in the temple of Apollo and vows never to fly again.
