- All of a sudden... the light bush died out.
- Selection Pressure

- Sometime ago there were light green turtles and dark green turtles, the turtles were hunted by the eagles but were protected by the light bush and the dark bush. The difference in the colors in turtles is caused by the differences in their DNA.
- Meanwhile...
- Overpopulation
- All of a sudden the light bush died out due to a fire. This means that the dark green turtles are fine because they can still blend in but the light turtles can no longer camouflage so they are not hunted more by the eagles.
- Descent With Modification
- Most of the light green turtles died because the population became scarce due to them being hunted easily now. The lack of light bush has caused the dark green turtles to become abundant while the light green turtles become scarce do to predation.
- After some time...
- The dark green turtles make more babies and most of the babies live. While the light green turtles population keep decreasing due to predation. Turtles can reproduce multiple times throughout their lifetimes and lay 3-200 eggs in one nest but only 2 have to live to continue the population.
- The turtles continue to reproduce, almost all have evolved now to not get eaten and avoid the birds.
- After some time the dark green turtles are being born increasingly while the light green turtles are being born less and dying their population becomes more scarce because the dark green turtles can blend in and hide from the birds while the light green turtles cannot.
