- On the Mayflower with 102 people on board, sailed out across the Atlantic ocean on September 16th 1620.
- When they were halfway through they ran into a huge storm, with really strong wind. And two people died on board but a baby was born.
- But because of the storm, they went more North than they originally planned. Land was spotted on November 21, 1620, 66 days after they left England.
- They met the first time and the Indians were very friendly. But Massasoit and Squanto were a little uneasy about the Europeans, but still decided to make peace with them.
- The Mayflower returned to England and the Pilgrims were left alone. Fortunately, Squanto stuck around and taught them how to survive. (you could say that Squanto saved the Pilgrims lives)
- After all, that hard work and they have successfully grown food. They celebrated with a feast in early October, they celebrated for days with lots of food and partying. The chief (Massasoit) came to see what was going on and the Pilgrims Invited them to join. And from that day on more and more people came.
