- "i'm so sick of all this. Sick and tired. Bob was a good guy. He was the best buddy a guy ever had. I mean he was a good fighter and tuff and everything, but he was a real person too. You dig?

- "I'm sick of fighting because it doesn't do any good. You cant win even if you whipus you'll still be at the bottom and well still be the lucky ones. I think I'm going to leave town. Take my little old mustang and all the dough I can carry and leave town.
- Pg. 117 - What does Randy say about fighting?
- Running away wont help.
- "what'd he want? what'd Mr. Super Soc have to say?"
- Pg. 118 - What does Ponyboy tell Two Bit about Randy?
- "He ain't a Soc, he's just a guy. He just wanted to talk"
- Socs were just guys after all. Things were rough all over, but it was better that way. That way you could tell the other guy was human too...
- Pg. 118 - Ponyboy reflects on the conversation. What does he think?
- I learned that everyone is human and just because someone is different doesn't mean that their a bad person.
