Fredericks fight with slavery By: Davis H, Lucas F and Shashank K
Frederick Douglass was born a slave in the 1800s, he worked tirelessly form sunrise to sunset in master Freeland's plantation. Unfortunately Frederick wasn't happy with his life. He longed to be free.
Master, Frederick and his friends are planning an escape.
I'll make note of that!
Frederick decided he was going to do everything he could to escape the clutches of slavery. "Hey Henry and John do you want to leave this place for good?" "Of Course" was their reply. From then on, they worked together to plan their escape.
Planning their escape was difficult. The confusion of making protections but the clarity of their goal. However, Henry, John, and Frederick never gave up.
One day while they were working, they found out that a slave had told there master their plan. They would not try and run since the masters friends were looking for them. They would be at a high risk if they got caught.
Soon after, constables that Master Freeland sent confronted Frederick, Henry, and John. However, Henry resisted. "Crack!" The whip lashed Henry on the back and he gave up. "You guys are pests" a constable said. The constables then tied them up and led them to a stone prison.
