- The King and queen of Siam had many daughters
- The Queen found it very confusing to remember the names so the King named them according to the months and the youngest one was called September
- The King Of Siam Had a peculiar habit he gave gifts on his birthday instead of receiving them One year on his birthday he gave each of his daughters a parrot in golden cage
- The princess were very proud of their parrot and spend one hour everyday in teaching the parrot to talk .Presently all parrots can say two things in no less than seven Oriental languages.

- One day Princess September went to say Good Morning to her parrot she found it lying dead .She burst into burst of tears and no one can comfort her
- And while she lay in her bed , crying still she saw a little bird hop in her room
