- Demeter and Persephone

- One day Persephone was playing in a field of flowers.
- While she was playing Hades goddess of the underworld took her to be his wife.
- Demeter searched every where but couldn't find her. She got sad and the earth started to die and then came the first winter.
- Demeter went to Zeus, goddess of the sky and lighting also the king of all gods, asks for help to free Persephone from hades.
- Zeus and Demeter went to free Persephone but she had eaten pomegranate seeds which by law if you eat pomegranate seeds you have to stay in the underworld depending on how many you ate that's how many months.
- So for some months Persephone visited Hades and the world would have winter but she would come back in the spring and that's the circle of life.
