Man its so hot I could go for some ice cream ice cream right about now
Slide: 2
Yes! One strawberry please!
sure thing!
OH NO! I completely forgot about my biology test tomorrow..
Slide: 3
Oh I am a first year biology student I can helpy you with that! What is it on? Sit at those tables over there
Really? Thank you. It on Cellular respiration and all the steps involed in the process
Slide: 4
How do we make energy in our bodies?
So in the first step of cellular respiration we have Gycolysis. This is when glucose is broken down into 2 pyruvate molecules with the help of energy
Our bodies then move on to pyruvate oxidation. Where the two pyruvate molecules will continue to be broken down and combined with coA to produce acetyl-coA
Slide: 5
Our bodies move on to the Krebs cycle. We will see Acetyl-coA generate ATP (energy). NADH and FADH2 are produced here as well
In the electron transport chain, NAHD and FADH2 send elections through the chain allowing for the flow of protons creating a proton gradient. Water is produced in this stage!
woah!! So many steps.
Slide: 6
Finally, the protons will flow through the special protein channels in the concentration gradient. ATP synthase the enzyme will produce 2 more ATP for the body, sort of like an investment. You invest 2 ATP and in return you gain 2 more ATP from the ones you previously invested!
WOAH! I can't believe I understand cellular respiration now! Thank you!
